Health Benefit/Drug Card

ACES provides the resources you need to become knowledgeable in selecting an individual health insurance plan that protects you and your family. We offer a variety of affordable health plans underwritten by United Healthcare, Aetna and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama that are all designed to fit your individual health insurance needs and budget.

United Healthcare and Aetna are available to all employees starting day one of any assignment. These two plans allow for weekly payroll deductions for the insurance premiums. These programs are portable so that you can maintain coverage between assignments.

Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance is available on the first day of the month following the start of an assignment. Continued eligibility must be maintained if you decide to enroll at a later date. Continued benefits are based on fulfilling your contractual agreement or commitment. Enrollment has time limitations and requires immediate completion and return of all requested information as instructed. There will be a monthly premium that will be payroll deducted at the beginning of every month for single and family coverage. If you fail to work the contracted number of hours or for short-term breaks between assignments, monthly premium payments must be made to ACES to maintain uninterrupted coverage

Dental Benefit

Dental insurance is also available on each of these plans. It is an available option for United Healthcare and Aetna plans. Please refer to the appropriate links above for more details and the plan summary guides.

It is included for the employee at no additional cost once you enroll in the Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance program. It is available on the first day of the month following the assignment start date. Enrollment applications must be completed and returned prior to dental eligibility. This will be deducted through our weekly payroll deductions. If you fail to work the contracted number of hours or for short-term breaks between assignments, you will need to make monthly premiums to maintain uninterrupted coverage.

Life Insurance

A $50,000 accidental life insurance policy is included during your contracted assignment at no additional cost to you.

401(k) Retirement Program

College Savings Plan

ACES offers a college savings plan that allows you to save pre-tax dollars and invest them for your children’s future. The fidelity Advisor 529 Plan allows you to take control of your investment. This money can be utilized at most accredited colleges and universities nationwide. The earnings can be utilized for tuition, housing, books, and other education related expenses. Earn 2% of eligible retail purchased with Fidelity Investments 529 College Rewards Credit Card. Multiple card holders may be linked to the same account so grandparents, relatives or friends can help pay for a child’s education.

Weekly Payroll

Payroll is generated weekly generally starting 1 st shift Sunday am and ending 3 rd shift Saturday pm. Payday is the following Friday. Payroll weeks may differ as facility pay cycles differ

Direct Deposit

ACES offers direct deposit of your payroll funds electronically into your bank account. This eliminates the possibility of lost checks in the mail. Enrollment may take 2 pay cycles to become active.

Licensure Reimbursement

ACES will assist you in obtaining licensure in the state that you will be working by providing the necessary information to you to obtain a license. Reimbursements will be made for the cost of the license after completion of the assignment in that state. All proper documentation must be submitted within 30 days of the completion of your assignment.

Continuing Education

Employees of ACES are eligible for CEU programs at no charge when sponsored by the company. ACES will sponsor several seminars throughout the year to assist you with achieving your CEU requirements. Overtime/Holiday Pay

ACES conforms to state wage and hour regulations and laws with respect to overtime wages. ACES recognizes the following as Holidays and will pay time and one-half for those working a holiday shift. Some assignments may pay double-time as hospital contract allows. New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Housing, Accomodations & Transportation

ACES offers first class housing options on every assignment. We provide all housing needs assuring a comfortable home away from home. All housing is convenient and in a desirable location that has been visited and secured by one of our nurse travel teams. ACES realizes housing preferences are different and will try to accommodate individual needs. Housing stipends are also available for those who choose to secure their own housing. Transportation is provided to and from each assignment or a stipend is available for those choosing to drive their personal vehicle. Transportation may be provided during the course of the assignment. Please check with your recruiter as this may vary depending on the assignment.
